Hours uploaded 2-4 days after the course
Course Objectives
Analyze the operational role of specialized medical departments—including nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and respiratory care—in maintaining clinical continuity during health emergencies
Formulate comprehensive emergency preparedness plans and disaster risk reduction strategies tailored for healthcare facilities
Evaluate the effectiveness of a Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) and disaster triage systems in optimizing patient prioritization during a Mass Casualty Incident (MCI)
Appraise the execution of logistics and supply chain management frameworks to ensure the seamless distribution of resources during a crisis
Apply epidemiological principles and artificial intelligence algorithms to outbreak investigations and disease surveillance systems for early threat detection
Design simulation drills and disaster exercises to assess, test, and improve institutional response readiness and quality improvement metrics
Construct an ethical and legal framework to guide healthcare professionals through the complex decision-making dilemmas inherent in disaster response
Compare standard clinical protocols with specialized medical responses required for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) emergencies
Assess advanced airway and respiratory emergency interventions required to stabilize critical patients during mass casualty events
Outline strict infection prevention and control standards to mitigate public health risks during pandemic preparedness and response efforts
